actually, this guy is not the first to make this claim...I can't remember the previous cases where I have heard of this, or the outcome, but no matter what , I maintain the same position...

Find a new job. If your religious beliefs conflict with a major protion of your occupation, it is time to re-consider your options.

you know, it occurred to me...where would this end? What if this guy needed to dispense medicine that had been derived from Stem cells. there is the possibility that the cells did not come from an umbilical cord, but instead from an aborted fetus (that one I don't agree with...but neither here nor there...). DOes this then give him the right to refuse dispensation to an Alzheimer's patient or a parkinson's victim who depends on these medications to function normally?

so help me...I think I am joining Jumpers camp on how to deal with them...

Something sounds fishy to me.

The article said:

1. He was not a permanent pharmacist at this K-mart.

2. The pills were for a college student.

3. He did not refer her to another pharmacist.

Inquiring minds must ask:

1. Did this college student ever fill her prescription at that K-mart before? Is so then why didn't she call the pharmacy manager?

2. If she was refused service, why didn't she call the store manager.

3. I would think a college student could find another pharmacy on her own.

4. Did this college student have prior knowledge of this temporary pharmacist's beliefs.

Sounds like a set up to me.
